| Game # 49 | Lindsay Muskies 0 - Port Hope Predators 5 |
| February 10th, 2008 - in Port Hope | |
| Summary | |
| A day after earning a shutout, the Muskies were shut out themselves in the final game of the regular season. In a game frequently interrupted by the referee's whistle, the Fish actually outshot their hosts 39-30 but didn't have the same luck in finding the net. The Preds scored one goal in each of the first two periods and then added three more in the third period as tempers flared. With 102 minutes of penalties handed out by Darryl Hancock, it was surprising that neither team could manage a powerplay goal.
With this result, these two teams will now face each other in the first round of the playoffs, which should be an interesting series to say the least, given the history of the two teams over the course of this season. |
