Muskies Present Annual Awards
A good crowd of players, fans, staff, volunteers, parents and billets gathered at the Lindsay Rec Complex on May 29th as the Muskies held their annual banquet and awards ceremony.
Much fun was had by everyone as they cheered the winners and listened to speeches by captain Murray Free and co-owner David Knapp. Mr Knapp debunked the annual rumours that the club was for sale and pledged the ownership's intentions to be around to lead the team all the way to an OJHL championship title - and beyond.

Moving On Up
The Muskies wish to congratulate three players who have agreed to join NCAA colleges in September and one who will attend university in Canada.

Aaron Keaney and Andrew Love are heading to Neumann College in Pennsylvania. This is a D-III school with an impressive reputation. The men's hockey team is coached by Dominick Dawes, who was recently named as the winner of the Edward Jeremiah Award as Division III Coach of the Year. This was earned by leading the Neumann Knights to victory in the NCAA D-III championship game, meaning Aaron and Andrew will be competing for places on the national champion team.

Meanwhile, Michael Gilchrist will be heading for Oswego. The blueliner will be looking for a spot on the roster of the Oswego Lakers, who themselves were D-III national champions in 2007. It is not difficult to imagine the former Lindsay D-man facing the former Lindsay forwards in the not-too-distant future.

Next year will see defenceman Tyler Turcotte, who joined the Fish halfway through last season, attending the University of Toronto.

The Muskies would like to thank all four for their efforts in the teal and white, and congratulate them on succeeding in their academic ambitions. We hope that success will continue to follow them in the years ahead.
